World Heritage Status
The Lake District National Park has recently been granted World Heritage Status joining other World Heritage Sites such as Acropolis and the Taj Majal. Bowness on Windermere and Windermere provide a great location to explore the National Park and having their own main line railway station it’s possible to leave your car and use the extensive public transport system to venture further afield.
