Good Life Lake District Cottages works on a commission basis, so we only start making money when we begin to let your property successfully. There is no set up fee or annual charge for entry into our brochure or website.
How much do you charge?
We have an introductory commission rate of 15% +VAT for the first 12 months of letting to get your property established, moving to 19.5% + VAT thereafter. Our commission charges are competitive and we do not charge any setup costs such as brochure fees etc. We offer a bespoke and unique letting service which is excellent value for money.
Payment is made monthly direct into your bank account for deposits and balances received within that month. You will not have to wait until your guests have stayed in your property to receive payment; and we do not get paid until you do!

We can give advice on any expenses you are likely to face, so you can ensure there are no hidden costs in the coming season.
Pricing your property correctly is very important task. We will provide you with suggested prices based on our market knowledge at the start of our relationship and also discuss with you promotions, short breaks and other financial factors throughout the year.
An annual fee is payable under the Visit England Self Catering Star Grading Scheme. You do not have to pay for the assessment in advance and it is arranged by us on your behalf.
Our Cancellation Scheme guarantees that owners are paid 100% of the value of a booking in the event the guest cancels their holiday, regardless of whether we are able to re-book the holiday.
