Rose Cottage is in a fantastic village location and offers comfortable accommodation for 4 people. While retaining lots of traitional features the owners continue to improve their cottage to ensure guests have everything they need while on holiday in the Lake District.
Situated in the centre of Elterwater village near the Britannia Inn, Rose Cottage offers good quality accommodation for 4 people. A front patio area overlooking the village Bowling Green, means you can really feel part of village life, or for a little privacy the elevated rear garden is a relaxing space to sit and read a book on a summers evening.
Enter the cottage through the front porch into a cosy lounge with a real fire, original ceiling beams, comfy sofas and a rocking chair, the lounge has an LCD flatscreen TV, DVD player, Sky, a mini Hi Fi and wifi. Off the lounge is the Kitchen/Dining room with seating for six around a farmhouse table. The kitchen is fully fitted with Dishwasher, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer and electric double oven. We love the traditional yet functional space in Rose Cottage!
Heading upstairs, there is a heated drying cupboard with plenty of extra hanging space for outdoor gear. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room, while the twin bedroom makes use of the main family bathroom. The bathrooms are modern and tastefully decorated. Both bedrooms overlook the front of the house, towards Langdale Beck and the village street.
We want our holiday cottages to be a 'home for home'. All the beds are made up ready for you, towels are included so no need to bring those, and shower mats are also provided. Two tea towels and a set of oven gloves/oven cloth will be in the kitchen along with a starter pack that includes: washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet roll, basic cleaning products, a bin bag in each bin and a few dishwasher tabs. This is just to 'start you off'; you will need to buy your own once these have run out.
Rose cottage has space for one carefully parked car at the rear of the cottage.
Fire Pack / Logs available to purchase form the Good Life Office.

A lovely cottage with bags of character in an ideal location. Perfect romantic getaway!! And it's so lovely that we could take our dog too!
Elterwater is a beautiful village and has wonderful facilities and access to spectacular hills and countryside.
The staff at Elterwater were very friendly and helpful
Elterwater is for me, the best spot to stay in the Lakes where so many walks start from and the car can be parked for the week. Its popularity is increasingly reflected in prices charged.
