Description

Hidden Nook is a superbly located ground floor beautifully presented apartment situated in Windermere village with its bustling centre of independent shops, restaurants and café society just on your doorstep.

This delightful contemporary apartment has been totally renovated to create an absolute gem for those wishing to be centrally and conveniently located here. Windermere is on your doorstep but you also have easy access to Bowness and Lake Windermere and with transport links two minutes from your front door you don’t even have to have a car and are well placed for further exploration.

Step into the apartment from the stable style front door and enter the sleek open-plan fully furnished kitchen including a dishwasher which leads to the lounge and dining area which is all open plan. This area is stylishly furnished in pale tones giving this super apartment both a welcoming, bright and comfortable feel. Step into the hall and to the right, there is a bathroom with T shape bath which is perfect for a soak after your day’s activities but also there is a large rain shower over the bath. Next to the bathroom, there is a delightful contemporary bedroom with a comfortable large bed and headboard and open plan storage.

Location, Location, Hidden Nook couldn’t be better placed to explore the local area of Windermere and Bowness which is a gentle stroll of 20 minutes to Bowness town and Lake Windermere. From here you can enjoy the various water activities from hopping on a Lakeland cruise and enjoying the stunning lake land vistas or how about hiring a boat if you are feeling a little more energetic. If you take a cruise you can explore Newby Bridge with Haverthwaite steam train and the car museum is here too for motor enthusiasts but there are also quality lakeside eateries here at the southerly edge of the lake. Go north and explore bustling Ambleside with its extensive array of independent shops and restaurants. Nearer to the apartment try the short easy climb up Orrest Head which again starts just two minutes away from Hidden Nook where you can enjoy simply breathtaking views to the length of Lake Windermere and the Lakeland fells. Indeed this is the place that inspired Wainwright to start his famous writing and love affair with Lakeland fells and walks. Arrive or explore by train or bus as again both are on your doorstep as is the supermarket too for your provisions making Hidden Nook so convenient for your holiday requirements. You can easily hop on a tour bus or catch a train to Staveley and explore the glorious Kentmere valley or sample the local food and drink at the Hawkshead  Brewery and yard. Slightly further you can also visit Kendal an attractive market town, with castle ruins and wonderful views or simply explore the town and amenities in the cobbled streets and yards or visit one of the festivals throughout the season from food and drink to comic art and mountain fest.

As this accommodation is so conveniently located you are also positioned perfectly to explore surrounding beautiful areas of the lakes such as Ambleside, Troutbeck and Grasmere. Hidden Nook is simply a perfect choice for your holiday in the Lakes in any season.

NB: The apartment is roadside so some road noise may be heard. Cars may unload outside the apartment but must then park in the village or in Broad street car park.
