The village of Staveley is located just south of Windermere within the Lake District National Park, a stone’s throw away from the slightly less trodden but no less picturesque Kentmere Valley and just a 7 to 8-minute train ride away from both Windermere and Kendal. Surrounded by three hills; Reston Scar, Piked Howe and Lily Fell, the village is ideally located for keen hikers, cyclists and those who are looking to enjoy a more leisurely stroll. There’s plenty of family and dog-friendly walks within Kentmere Valley and the option to walk down the riverside to the market town of Kendal. A host of eateries can be found at the Mill Yard beside the River Kent including, Artisan bakery More? and Wilf’s café, providing a variety of local and fresh produce for your stay. With the addition of Hawkshead Brewery with plenty beers on tap for you to sample the local ales.
