Graythwaite is a private family estate of 5000 acres in the Lake District National Park which has woodland, fells and shoreline to Lake Windermere. Steeped in history and owned by the same family for 500 years the collection of properties on this fabulous Estate are all unique and have a variety of stunning locations and individual presentation which all make for unforgettable holiday memories.
Holmewell is the latest beautiful addition the lake shoreline collection within the Estate. This glorious detached property entered by its private electric gate is impeccably presented with all rooms individually designed with fabulous use of colour, soft furnishing and style which all flavour a nod to Marrakesh styling. Sleeping ten Holmewell has been beautifully presented in the highest standard with all five bedrooms having en-suites.
A spacious open plan kitchen diner with soft seating and the separate sitting room too. All the living areas downstairs have large glass windows to take in the spectacular lake views and let’s not forget the private jetty too. One of the bedrooms is ground floor with French windows so provides easy access if required, whereas the master bedroom on the first floor has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake with a private lake view balcony. This room also has a fabulous en-suite with has a large walk-in shower, slipper bath positioned to the lake view in this superb coordinated marble bathroom; imagine relaxing here and soaking up this piece of heaven inside and out.
All rooms have thermostats for temperature control and the living area has underfloor heating with a wood burner in the lounge with French Door to the very generous lakeside patio. The kitchen has crafted joinery units with slick wooden pantry area and gorgeous copper sink and countertop appliances. There is an Aga and electric oven, American style fridge freezer and a large TV with a fabulous corner settee to this kitchen dining area to enjoy. Sliding doors open to the large patio with ample comfortable outdoor furniture and also relax to Sonas sound throughout the house.
From the moment you enter this superb property through the electric gates and are greeted by the downstairs cloakroom with funky monkey wallpaper with mirrored sink off the entrance hallway to the wellington washer in the large utility room you know you are entering a very special place for you, your party and two dogs.

Holmewell House can be booked with the neighbouring property Grassholme Cottage (Ref GL099) which sleeps 4 taking your party size total to a maximum of 14 people.
All guests have access to a heated indoor swimming pool (approximately 8 metres by 3 metres in size), fitness suite (rower, cross trainer, stepper, weights, and bench press), table tennis and children’s play area, accessible from the Central Courtyard at Home Farm.
