Description

Silverholme is an outstanding classic eco Georgian manor house located on the Graythwaite family Estate which is situated in over 5000 acres in the beautiful Lake District National Park. Gently elevated this statuesque property overlooks the lake thus affording simply stunning vistas to lake Windermere and the fells beyond. Arrive as you sweep down the private drive to the gravel parking area and allow your holiday to begin as you step into the magnificent hallway. Dating back to 1820s this unique manor house is full of original period features and spacious rooms with an elegance of a bygone era.

On the ground floor, the modern kitchen has a contemporary feel with floor to ceiling glass windows to take this marvellous location. This well-equipped kitchen is fully furnished to accommodate your party size in equipment and has a  large table to seat 18. Having a special meal? , then step next door to the splendid richly decorated more formal dining room with period fireplace, chandeliers, mahogany dining table with antique furnishings. There are also two grandiose reception rooms on the ground floor, one with a working period fireplace to relax and take in this truly special place inside and out. Finally downstairs there is a third reception room with comfortable seating and a large TV for your further enjoyment.

Retire at the end of the day into one of the eight gorgeous bedrooms which have all been named to reflect the stylish and individual decor within. Each bedroom perfectly blends contemporary quality soft furnishings mixed with period and tradition fittings and all have a private or en-suite bathroom. All rooms on the front of the house have superb views of the lake and beyond. Two of the bedrooms are ground floor whilst the rest are all first floor. Across the courtyards, there is also a small cottage which has a lounge with wood burner, double bedroom, shower room and kitchen. This delightful additional space also has views over the grounds and to the lake.

Outside there is a spacious area, with fabulous views with furniture, fire pit and a bbq which allows you further enjoyment of this special location.

Bedroom Configuration

The standard bed configuration is:

Ground Floor 1 x Super King, 1 x Twin (can be made into a super king)

1st Floor 3 x Super King, 3 Twin (2 of which can be made into a super king)

Cottage 1 X Double.

If you would like any changes to the standard bed configuration please inform us at the time of booking.

All guests have access to a heated indoor swimming pool (approximately 8 metres by 3 metres in size), fitness suite (rower, cross trainer, stepper, weights, and bench press), table tennis and children’s play area, accessible from the Central Courtyard at Home Farm.

An Accidental Damage Deposit or Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver is required for this property. We will contact you in good time before your holiday with further details and to take payment.
