Description

A splendidly converted stone Chapel once owned by John Myers the cousin of William Wordsworth who is said to have visited whilst it was still a Chapel. Set in 5 acres of woodland and gardens with magnificent views over the Whicham Valley, Black Combe fell and continuing towards the Coniston fells.

To take advantage of the views the Chapel has been configured with the living/sleeping area upstairs. The whole top floor is an open plan living and bedroom, with many original features, oak beams, stone walls and chapel style windows. It's a fantastic space with wooden flooring, welcoming warming log burner and a comfortable sofa its a great room to rewind and relax in.

Downstairs there is the fully equipped kitchen including fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The dining table offers lovely views across the garden whilst enjoying your dinner. The lovely bathroom is located just off the kitchen equipped with a glorious walk-in shower and freestanding bath, a peaceful spot to relax at the end of the days exploring.

The Chapel is dog-friendly and the owners even provide a little doggy treat on your arrival.

There is an enclosed mature garden with seating area overlooking the rolling countryside, with Black Coombe fell and the Whicham valley on your doorstep there are many walks from the front door or the southern Lake District fells including Coniston, Lake Windermere, Wastwater are only 30 mins drive away.  If you fancy a sea view and the coast the dog-friendly beach of Silecroft is under 2 miles away
