Description

Cherry trees is an stunning detached former Edwardian gentleman’s residence set in an elevated position on the edge of Bowness-on-Windermere which has wonderful gardens and stunning views to the Lakeland fells and lake Windermere.

Beautifully renovated and refurbished this spacious accommodation has an interior which combines tradition such as window seats and wooden panelling and modern luxury throughout. Sleeping ten this property is ideal for families or friends to enjoy on their Lakeland holiday. This outstanding cottage is part of the Carus premium collection situated just outside Bowness-on-Windermere.

On entering the property to the right downstairs there are three reception rooms with TVs which all offer vistas to the Lakeland fells and lake. The main reception room has a wood burner and original doors leading to the formal dining area and conservatory. There are French doors leading to the terrace and large decked area from here and the conservatory. The second reception has a 55 inch TV, original fire place and sumptuous soft seating. Whilst the third snug reception allows even more room for your parties enjoyment and relaxation. The cottage also has an Xbox games console, family board games and WIFI throughout.  All these rooms have a wonderful view. On entering to the left on the ground floor there is also a well equipped kitchen with Duel fuel AGA, dishwasher,  wine cooler, second dining area with TV and utility room with washer dryer.  

Upstairs there are five generous bedrooms all with TVs and two have tasteful quality en-suite shower rooms with walk in showers and underfloor heating. The first  king-size bedroom is duel aspect with Juliet balcony and en-suite. There are three further rooms one king, twin bed, and a final large double room with super king zip and link with duel aspect views with room for a cot. This room also has a en-suite shower room .This is a triple aspect light filled room with beautiful lake views which all these bedrooms have. The final bedroom has garden views and the beds can be can be split to adult single beds at request. All bedrooms have been individually exquisitely interior designed and presented. The large family bathroom has a free standing bath and there are even lake views from here as well as a large walk in rain shower.

Outside on this very generous plot the landscaped gardens have the large decked area with lake and fell views with seating which is perfect to enjoy on warmer days with a morning coffee or evening tipple of your choice in the evening. There is also a tennis court, lawns and second patio area and ample area for off road parking.

Just less than a mile and you are in bustling Bowness with Beatrix Potter for younger members of your party as well Lakeland cruises and lake water activities. Windermere and Bowness also offer a good choice of bustling shops bars and restaurants. Ideally situated for further exploring you can reach pubs and Lakeland walking in under 15 minutes, Ambleside is just 15 minutes away and you can also see Grasmere and Coniston in under 30 minutes. In the other direction just past Kendal there are wonderful historic houses such as Levels Hall which has world class gardens or statuesque Sizergh castle steeped in history with café and gardens and small lake.

Cartmel is also easily accessible and is a very attractive village with the UK's smallest race course which holds meets throughout the year, the ancient 12th century priory and the village has the infamous l'eclume restaurant as well as being home to sticky toffee pudding along with other artisan shops to explore.

For those who enjoy a round or two of golf, if booked in advance there are generous discounts at Carus golf course in Kendal .
