Description

Waterside is one of three luxury options within a stunning architecturally designed curved property Riverside Terrace,  located between Ambleside and Grasmere in the heart of the Lake District National Park. This beautiful and striking building has been carefully designed by the owners to complement and blend into the environment by using a wealth of local materials and craftsmanship in keeping with the integrity of this special eco build. From the private car park with two allocated parking spaces, Waterside is the first to be reached allowing added convenience.

The curved shape and full-length window frontage take full advantage of this wonderful setting by river Rothay, overlooking the countryside beneath Loughrigg fell yet also allows privacy to each property. Stepping inside through the vestibule at the rear of the property where you can remove your activity attire you enter the hallway and can immediately enjoy the underfloor heating. The owners have created with interior designers a stylish and individual look for each of these properties and as you walk through the hall past two en-suite bedrooms to the open plan living area you will see the attention to details, quality, and flair that exudes from this 5-star gold accommodation which is all at ground floor level,

Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and one has a designer bath with hand shower and the other a large walk-in shower along with Bath House toiletries to enjoy. Each bedroom has different styling, with its furniture, distinctive soft furnishing and artwork finished off with individual temperature control and Herdwick woolen carpets.

The open plan living, dining and contemporary kitchen area are flanked by the glass windows to one wall which opens to the private spacious terrace area wherein the summer you can watch the birds, wildlife and listen to the water with a glass of your favourite drink. Inside there is a contemporary wood burner to compliment the air source pump heating whilst adding coziness and romance to the atmosphere of this fabulous space. The bespoke kitchen is extremely well equipped with quality appliances befitting this luxury self-catering accommodation.

It’s not just us that think these properties are special, Riverside Terrace has the accolade of being a finalist in the Staycation awards for 2019 which recognises first-class accommodation for the discerning client and Waterside also has Five Star Gold standard from Visit England.

Just a 7-minute walk will take you to the nearest pub that has a fire and serves food, the Badger Inn, whilst a pleasant 20 minutes riverside stroll will take you to Ambleside with its excellent choice of eateries and shops. If you want a special meal you have the choice of two Michelin star restaurants in either Grasmere or Ambleside which is a short taxi drive in either direction. From Ambleside, you can also enjoy a cruise and the stunning vistas on the water to explore the more southerly areas of bustling Bowness and Newby Bridge which is at the southern tip of Lake Windermere. Grasmere in the other direction is famous for Wordsworth cottage and Rydal Hall is just a ten minute walk away.

As you are based truly in the heart of the lake district you have convenient access to explore in all directions. At the end of the day, return to Waterside and what could be better than relaxing on the terrace flanked by greenery by the riverside with a little stream running alongside the terrace, or seeing this wonderful backdrop from the stunning interior in any season.

NB: Children 10 years and above welcome and this accommodation is pet-free. Sorry no infants.
