Wayside Cottage is a fantastic cottage sleeping 5  in the Lake District village of Staveley. Equipped to a high standard, with two downstairs bedrooms and a further bedroom upstairs, a relaxing lounge area with a log burner and fully equipped kitchen with a separate dining area.

As you enter the Lake District the village of Staveley has become increasingly popular in recent years with its very own brewery, great local pubs, artisan bakery, and village shop. Also home to the UK's largest cycle store, Staveley is popular with cyclists of all grades and the neighbouring Kentmere Valley offers fantastic walking ranging from gentle rambles to strenuous fell top hikes.

Home to the national award-winning Hawkshead brewery with a bustling and attractive beer hall, daily brewery tours and live music, the village also offers an excellent local pub, the 'Eagle and Child' serving home-made food throughout the day with a warm, friendly atmosphere and real ales. The village also has an outstanding baker and a café in the nearby mill yard as well as a coffee shop on the main street with its own artisan coffee roaster.

Staveley isn't all about beer and food though and offers some superb walking for all abilities. Glorious walking can be enjoyed straight from the door into the Kentmere Valley or a more manageable amble up Reston Scar. The Dales Way passes through the village and draws walkers to Staveley all year round, the route often described as one of the best sections.

There are fantastic transport links here with the railway station in the village taking you to the market town of Kendal to Windermere and you can drive or take a bus a mere 10 minutes to Windermere where you can discover the joys of the lake and water activities.
