Slaters Cottage is a quintessential Lakeland cottage which is steeped in history at over 300 years old and is situated in a glorious location in a hamlet within Little Langdale valley. Perfect for walking in every direction with your holiday party including those four-legged family members. Fantastic walking beckons in all directions with Lingmoor fell, Pike O'Blisco and Bow Fell to the north whilst to the south explore Wetherlam, Swirl How and the Coniston Fells.

This pretty end terraced character cottage offers tranquillity and peace and is also walking distance to the Three Shires Pub to enjoy before or after wonderful hikes from the door to suit all abilities. Stunning views are enjoyed from within the property and outside garden area too.

Stepping inside the cottage to the hall there is the downstairs bathroom with bath and shower over and quality well equipped kitchen with slate floor and underfloor heating, granite surfaces, washer dryer and dishwasher. Across the hall is the cosy but open plan dining and sitting room which has a striking stone fireplace with wood burner, oak beams and stripped wooden floors which is perfect to hunker down in the chillier evenings. There is also a good selection of games, books and guides to enjoy here too. This delightful cottage has lots of original features with oak beams, wooden floors, latch doors, monkey tail window catches and those views. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with one double downstairs which are furnished sympathetically to the age of the property such as wrought iron beds with a style of a bygone era.

Outside there is a pretty elevated seating area with landscaping making use of local slate, greenery and foliage which are indigenous to the area. There are natural steps up to the seating area which may not be suitable for those with mobility problems. There is also off road parking for one car which is just outside the cottage.

Close by you have the pretty village of Elterwater and stunning scenery of the Landale valley which is a favourite to many. Heading north past Skelith Bridge explore Ambleside with its independent shops and restaurants or try water activities here too. Equally you can head to Grasmere and Rydal Water and Wordsworth cottage or to the south explore Coniston. Slaters cottage is a super location for exploring but equally stay local and enjoy this little piece of Lakeland heaven, you will not be disappointed!

How about having an afternoon at the Langdale hotel to enjoy a relax or other forms of activity with the complimentary spa and leisure pass for guests at Slaters cottage to enjoy. This is a delightful cottage with a wealth of period features in a fabulous location which will enable you and your holiday party to create marvellous holiday memories away from it all.

Extra facilities: this cottage provides complimentary leisure spa passes for guests at the quality Langdale Hotel which includes an indoor swimming pool amongst the facilities

NB. Three dogs are welcome at Slaters cottage.

NB There are 11 steps to the seating area outside without handrail and the staircase has a vertical hand rail and left turn. Areas of the cottage may have lower ceilings and beams often seen in cottages of this age.
