Silver Fell is a superb apartment which is gently elevated on the edge of the idyllic village of Grasmere in the heart of the Lake District National Park. The location of this lovely apartment is just five minutes from the bustling centre of the village yet Silver Fell has simply outstanding views across to Grasmere Lake and beyond.
Enter the apartment through the French doors from the balcony and step into the welcoming light-filled open plan living area with well equipped kitchen which includes a dishwasher. The dining area is located to take in those wonderful views and comfortable seating area too is here which is perfect for relaxing and socialising. From this room you can take in the magnificent views across to the lake and fells beyond or sit on the private balcony and take in the wonderful scenery for a morning coffee, soaking the atmosphere and relax perhaps later in the day with your favourite tipple.
Sleeping two this delightful and quality accommodation has en-suite bathrooms for each bedroom which are to the rear of the property. There are twin beds in the larger bedroom and the bathroom here is a Jacuzzi bath and multi jet shower. The other bedroom is a double with shower en-suite and both bathrooms have mood lighting. Had a long walk during the day? Then the bathrooms will be perfect to soothe those stretched limbs and aching muscles.
Guests here also have the extra luxury of having free passes for the luxury organic spa at the Wordsworth Hotel which includes a pool and Jacuzzi. Why not spoil yourself to a treatment and pamper, after all you are on holiday.
Grasmere has an array of quality cafés, restaurants and shops and if you want a special meal why not try Forrest Side which has a Michelin star. Don’t forget also it is home of the infamous Grasmere Ginger Bread and there is also the chocolatier for gorgeous hand-made chocolates.
Of course you can’t visit Grasmere without visiting Dove Cottage, the home of Wordsworth, and museum. This is walking distance from the centre and is opposite The Wordsworth Hotel.
Grasmere lake is peaceful and tranquil and if you want to explore from the water, Faeryland is just minutes away from Silver Fell where you can hire a rowing boat and enjoy refreshment before or after in the tea room. Rydal water is a short distance away leading to Rydal Hall, or walk over Red Bank to Elterwater and the Langdale valley .Watch out also for red squirrels as we are lucky to still have them here in this area. In short you are spoilt for choice with what to explore first with all this fabulous location has to offer.
A short drive and you are at Ambleside and Coniston is also within easy reach too, in fact the glorious Lake District and marvellous scenery is beckoning in every direction.
In the words of Wordsworth, “Rest and be Thankful” as you are in a little piece of Heaven in all seasons.
