Description
Meadow Bank is a beautiful traditional stone house set in it's own garden with lovely views. Located in the heart of Elterwater village this self catering holiday home is in a stunning spot!
The accommodation at Meadow Bank is comfortable, bright and spacious, ideal for a group of up to ten friends or family members who are looking to enjoy a holiday in the Lake District together. The large kitchen is well equipped providing double electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave. The dining area is bright and looks out over the garden and views beyond. The solid wood dining table and seating for ten people means you can enjoy family meals together, or get the board games out to see who is the competitive one in your group! Through the dining area is the lounge, this is a large and comfortable dual aspect room. With great views to the garden, fields and footpath beyond you can sit in the window and watch the world go by, or you can use the open fire and curl up with a good book on a chilly evening. There's also a TV with Sky package and DVD player in the lounge. In addition to the main lounge is a second, smaller sitting room with TV and two single guest beds. This room is multifunctional, providing a second space for some of the group to relax in. Or you can open out the guest beds (linen provided in the blanket box) and use the 2 beds if you are a party of 10 (please note one of the beds is a lower level so unsuitable for guests with mobility issues).
There are four bedrooms on the first floor in Meadow Bank, two double and two twin rooms. Each bedroom has been decorated with an individual colour scheme, which adds to the homely feel in Meadow Bank. Beds will be made up with clean, fresh linen and towels are provided. There is one en suite shower room and a further two bathrooms, one with shower over bath and the other with separate shower and bath. A wooden cot is provided at Meadow Bank, please bring your own cot bedding if you wish to use this.
Meadow Bank is set in it's own mature garden with patio and garden furniture that looks out across the fields towards the beck. Off road parking for 2 cars and wifi is provided.
The village of Elterwater has a great local pub and cafe just around the corner from Meadow Bank. The local shop and second pub is less than a mile away in the village of Chapel Stile. The town of Ambleside is just ten minutes drive away, with Windermere and Grasmere just a little further in the car. You don't have to move your car during your stay if you don't want to. There's a huge choice of walks and places to explore direct from the door step of Meadow Bank.
Book both Meadow Bank and Garden Cottage together and you can enjoy a holiday in the Lake District for up to 12 people.
NB: Mobile reception is intermittent and is dependant on provider. There is a payphone in the cottage which can also receive calls.
