Jontys is a beautifully appointed cottage and is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Lakeland scenery. Tucked away in the charming village of Elterwater in the heart of the English Lakes, Jontys Cottage is ideally located between the picturesque Great Langdale and Little Langdale valleys, and is an ideal location for your Lake District holiday.
Sit back and relax in luxurious comfort, absorb the breathtaking view of the Lake District hills from the lounge in front of the wood burning stove, and let stress melt away. Jontys blends a traditional c1840 Lakeland stone and slate cottage, with sumptuous contemporary modern comfort. Jontys is the ground floor of an old Saw Mill, sleeping four people in modern two bedroom apartment comfort and style, within a spacious old stone building of immense character.
Whether you wish to hill walk, rock climb or scramble in the Great Langdales, meander over to Grasmere to Wordsworth's home, or just stroll down to the local village Inn, Jonty's Cottage is the perfect place to stay for your Lake District holiday.
Jontys Cottage features: A plush lounge and 4 seat dining area with a wood burning fire, storage heaters in lounge and hall way, electric heaters in bedrooms, a newly fitted kitchen (Dec 2015) including dishwasher, induction hob and washer dryer, two opulent bedrooms with one double room and one twin room, ample storage, a modern bathroom, TV, Phone, iPod/iPhone speaker system, free Broadband WiFi throughout and exclusive parking on private quiet road.
We want our holiday cottages to be a 'home for home'. All the beds are made up ready for you, towels are included so no need to bring those, and shower mats are also provided. Two tea towels and a set of oven gloves/oven cloth will be in the kitchen along with a starter pack that includes: washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet roll, basic cleaning products, a bin bag in each bin and a few dishwasher tabs. This is just to 'start you off'; you will need to buy your own once these have run out.
Please Note: Jontys Cottage is below The Old Sawpit so some sound transference may occur.

This is our favourite area of the Lake District. Perfect cottage with lovely views, fantastic pub two minutes walk away, and many other lovely pubs to walk to. For us it's the most relaxing place, whatever the weather!!!
Really appreciated the well equipped kitchen and the drying cupboard. I particularly liked the brandy glasses! We will come back again.
