Located in Rydal by the River Rothay and close to Ambleside is the architecturally designed Riverside Terrace, which is a stunning curved building constructed and designed with local materials to blend into the environment. Viewpoint is one of three luxury holiday homes and the collection received the accolade of being a finalist in the Staycation awards for 2019 which are awarded to properties of true distinction. This stunning building is both stylized and crafted from local materials and also is an eco-build with a low carbon footprint, from its heat source, water supply, underfloor heating to the bespoke wall to ceiling windows and even the carpets are using local Herdwick sheep wool.

Viewpoint is reached from the private car park over the footbridge and you enter this beautiful holiday home from the rear, past the striking landscaped Lakeland stone wall all having been made from the stone recovered on-site during construction. Enter the vestibule which is perfect for the storage of your outdoor clothing, leading into the hall. Straight ahead to the front enter the interior designed open plan kitchen, dining living area which is flanked by floor to ceiling bespoke glass to allow and maximize the wonderful backdrop of greenery and countryside views. Inside this area, there are quality stylized fittings all befitting this space with underfloor heating and a wood burner to create that extra ambiance. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with those extras such as a wine chiller and coffee maker and beautiful stone work surfaces.

Back to the central hallway, there are two spacious bedrooms which both have en-suite stylish bedrooms, one with a walk-in shower and the other a designer freestanding bath and handheld shower. Both are beautifully presented and individual as are the bedrooms which have spacious beds and again show the design flair in the accessories, furniture, and soft furnishing. This attention to detail is shown throughout this accommodation inside and out.  Step outside to the large terrace and be still for a moment, relax and take in the wildlife and serenity perhaps with a morning coffee or your favourite drink. This is a remarkable location with walking from the door and in fact, you can walk along the riverside from here for a 20 minutes stroll to reach Ambleside.

Ambleside itself has an excellent array of shops and restaurants along also with the choice of water sports. You can take a cruise from here to see the water vistas of lake Windermere and surrounding fells giving you a different perspective and stunning vista to the southern tip of  Lake Windermere to Newby bridge or bustling Bowness. You are also convenient for Grasmere, famous for Wordsworth cottage and if you fancy a special meal try the Forrest Side a Michelin star restaurant just a short taxi ride away. From Viewpoint your nearest pub just below Rydal hall, The Badger Inn is just a seven minute walk so you don’t have to use a car.

Viewpoint on Riverside terrace really is located in the heart of the Lake District National Park so you are superbly placed for exploring locally or further afield. At the end of the day return to Viewpoint and what could be better than relaxing inside or out on the terrace enjoying this idyllic spot by the river flanked by greenery and Lakeland views which are stunning in all seasons.

NB: Children ten years and over are welcome. Sorry no infants.
