Go Ape - Grizedale and Whinlatter

For your little thrill seakers, Go Ape offers a forest adventure like no other. We are lucky to have two fantastic Go Ape destinations within the Lake District. Grizedale Forest offers a Tree Top Adventure to test the nerves of the fearless with its mix of high rope crossings and massive zip wires. If zip wires are your thing, you can take another high wire adventure and breathe in the fresh forest air as you fly zip-to-zip over 3km with the Zip Trekking Adventure.

For smaller kids there is the Tree Top Junior, a high ropes course designed to leave them with monkey-sized grins on their faces (grown ups welcome too!). Also, for those who'd rather keep closer to the ground, whizz through the Douglas Firs on all-terrain Segways. Trust us, you'll leave a day out in Grizedale Forest with the adventure bug.

Just an hour down the road from Grizedal is the wonderful Whinlatter course. Every Go Ape is different and Whinlatter is no exception. It features a unique high ropes tree top course, Hidden 14-metres above the forest floor. The course is packed with epic obstacles and jaw-dropping Tarzan swings. For a little adventure closer to the ground, the all-terrain segways allow you to explore the stunning forest trails.
