With the school holidays around the corner there is just enough time for some last minute prep. We all want our guests to have a fantastic Summer holiday in the Lake District. These top tips will help ensure they do!

Stock up!

Stocking up on things like glassware, crockery  and light bulbs will make it quick and easy to replace things on changeover day or during your guests stay. These things may seem small but ensuring guests have everything they need will ensure maximum comfort.

Not just Spring cleans

Changeover days in the Summer holidays are notoriously busy. It's a good idea to ask your house keeper to deep clean your holiday property beforehand, to ensure everything is spick and span for your guests.

Get your gardening gloves on

After a long Winter cleaning up garden furniture and clearing paths and steps is essential. Trimming hedges, planting flowers and mowing the lawn are also good jobs to do now, to ensure your garden doesn't get too overgrown or untidy during the Summer holidays.

Check your guest book

Make sure there's plenty of space in your guest book for people to leave lovely reviews about their stay at your Lake District holiday cottage.

Games and Entertainment

Guests are looking to enjoy quality family time when they're on holiday. To help them have a memorable stay make sure there are plenty of games, DVDs and books for them to enjoy. TV packages providing a choice of things to watch, games rooms and toys for children to enjoy in the garden are great additional touches too.

These ideas will help to ensure guests enjoy their Lake District holiday this Summer. It might also mean they come back again and stay at your holiday property next year as well!
