“Seasons of mist and mellow fruitfulness”

This is the opening line of the poem ‘Ode to Autumn ‘ by John Keats who embarked on a walking tour of The Lake District in 1818.

It is quite possible he gained inspiration for this poem from the beautiful autumnal colours that abound at this time of year. Autumn is a magical time to visit the Lakes where a calm and peaceful aura falls upon the countryside.

A great opportunity to visit some of the most high profile tourist spots amidst the stunning landscape and enjoy time idling amongst pretty villages.

If a peaceful getaway sounds like the perfect way to recharge your batteries, then the Lakes are waiting for you. View our Autumn cottages here and book today.
