The team at The Good Life Cottage Company are excited to announce that we have formed a new relationship with The Quirky Traveller (aka Zoe Dawes). During 2016 we will be welcoming Zoe to Elterwater and The Langdales; she will spend time in the area, our holiday cottages and we will make sure we have an all important brew or 2 (or glass of wine) with her too.

Zoe is an award winning Travel Blogger, writing about places to stay and things to do, both in the UK and abroad. Zoe was born in Southport, has lived in many beautiful parts of the world such as Greece and the Far East, and she now resides on the Cumbria-Lancashire border. This means she knows The Lake District National Park very well! Britain’s Best Travel Blogger 2011, Top 10 UK Travel Blogs 2014 and more recently Best Culture and History Blogger are well deserved awards won by The Quirky Traveller. As well as the fact that her mantel piece bowing under the weight of these awards, the team in Elterwater are looking forward to working with The Quirky Traveller for a number of reasons. She is passionate about The Lake District and her ‘story telling’ style makes for a great read. We love that Quirky Travel is about looking at things from a unique angle! You can find Zoe’s work in many places, a few include Lake District and Lancashire Life Magazine, The Guardian and Visit Britain Super Blog. We are excited to be working with her and will be sharing her blogs about The Good Life Cottage Company, our Lake District Holiday Cottages and things to do in our area. Look out for The Quirky Blogs on her website, we will be sharing them via our website and social media posts too.

If you missed the 1st blog written by Zoe, and published in January make sure you read it now! Follow this link: The Quirky Traveller

Keep a look out for her famous umbrella, The Quirky Traveller will be in The Langdale Valley this year!
