Tough Mudder Reloaded

Tough Mudder, one of the hardest obstacle courses in the world. Successfully completed in under 3 hours by me (Ben) earlier this year. So much fun that I’m signed up for another one in November, but this time I’ve persuaded my better half (Heather) to join me. Team Good Life, will undoubtably be cold, wet and exhausted come the end, but when the challenge is there it must be taken up! Tough Mudder Northwest is taking place at Cholmondelay Estate, Nr Malpas in Cheshire. I know I’m kidding myself but surely November in Cheshire is warmer than in The Lake District.
I must say that training runs are far more enjoyable to do as a pair rather than heading out into our fantastic Lake District weather alone. So if anyone sees us out in the elements (wearing dubious day-glo running gear) you’ll know that it’s all for a worthy cause.
Once again we will be running for charity with all money raised going towards Cancer Research UK – Myras Cancer Fund. Our friend Chris Huddlestone lost his wife to cancer last year. Chris & Myra were each others best friend & since Myra’s passing Chris has devoted a great deal of his time to raising the awareness of cancer. We feel proud to be able to support Chris with a very worthy cause. There will be a Just-Giving page set up for online donations soon. The last run produced a staggering £1500 towards Epilepsy research.
