New to us from mid October 2012. Megs Beck Cottage is a lovingly looked after property, with an enviable position overlooking Great Langdale Valley from the hamlet of Walthwaite on the outskirts of Chapel Stile. Secluded but not isolated, on the banks of a stream snuggling against the fells to the North with open views to the South. Every amenity for walking and climbing is to hand – Langdale Pikes, Bowfell, Crinkle Crags etc. Or boating and fishing on nearby Grasmere, Windermere or Coniston.
Independently let for over 30 years Megs Beck benefits from the attention that Geoff & Eileen (the owners) have lavished on it. We feel privaliged to be chosen to look after their cottage as they seek to have a little more time for themselves during their retirement. Megs Beck is an ‘upside down house’ with the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs allowing the lounge & kitchen to take full advantage of the views. Traditionally decorated to a high standard Megs Beck houses four people in comfort. For us it ticks a great many boxes with a fully fitted & very practical kitchen, spacious lounge and the required ‘modern’ perks such as WiFi. Megs Beck also has an enclosed child & dog friendly garden, plus parking to the front of the house for 2 cars.
We went to view it and loved it, hopefully many of you will too.
