The Angel Inn - Bowness

Recently we celebrated our eldest daughters 18th birthday. We booked an evening meal at The Angel Inn on Helm Road in Bowness.
Not quite as pompous as a ‘Gastro Pub’ but with great quality food, good beer & plenty of space for a large group like ours (9). The staff were really helpful, the children were not frowned upon & a great time was had by all. With a group of kids between 19 & 4 it’s difficult to find somewhere that suits everyones taste (or that even accepts the under 10′s during the evening).
We all met up outside in the beer garden taking in the last sunshine of the day whilst our table was prepared. Once seated the hardest task was choosing something from a menu & specials board that had far too much choice. Good conversation always makes for a nice occasion but once the food arrived silence descended while we enjoyed our choices. They even let us bring our own birthday cake so Aimee could blow out the candles, sneaking it into the kitchen before Aimee saw it and bringing it out fully festooned with burning candles.
Thank you to all the staff at The Angel for making it a great night out
