Holidays in the UK are a growing trend again

Recent figures for the UK’s holidaying population have shown a big trend towards staying on our beautiful island rather than jetting off for foreign shores. Staycations have increased by about 15% this year with huge drops in long haul holidays and even a downturn in popular hotspots like France & Spain.
Obviously as we provide accommodation we like this news (yes we know it’s self serving). We think that areas such as the Lake District have a lot to offer, the weather may not be quite such a safe bet but the activities & food available are up there with anything else in the world. Whether it’s walking the fells, mountain biking, sailing, climbing or visiting the Wordsworth Museum or the home of Beatrix Potter there’s things to suit all tastes. we also have superb pubs and restaurants with 3 local breweries providing a much needed glass of ale at the end of each day.
Hopefully the current trend will continue as more people discover there’s a lot to do in our own country before heading abroad.
